Councils

In addition to our Lead Exchange Groups, the Chamber is pleased to offer several industry specific councils for our members.

Healthcare Council
Our Healthcare Council was created based on the premise that health and wellness are increasingly important issues to area businesses. From providing insights into chronic diseases to the effects poor health has on productivity and employee attendance, the Council is an educational resource on health and wellness for businesses throughout the Greater Valley region. Our membership reflects the variety of providers in our region. From private practitioners such as dentists and chiropractors, to physical therapists, nurses and representatives of long term health care facilities and hospitals. The Council’s members include medical practitioners, administrators, managers, and salespeople, among others. Our diversity helps us to offer a broad range of educational and outreach services.

Marketing Council
Primarily consisting of the advertising, design, public relations and marketing members, the Marketing Council meets on a every other month industry trends and to discuss the Chamber’s marketing and communications projects and goals.

Hotelier Group
This group is comprised of the Valley area Hotel Managers and Sales Directors. They meet at least twice annually and as needed to discuss the issues and concerns facing their industry.

Greater Valley Human Resource Forum

Young Emerging Professionals (YEP)

Are you new to a career and don’t know where to turn? Do you want to grow your business, but don’t know where to do it? Do you want to meet great new business contacts but don’t know where to start? This is an ongoing problem for young professionals in today’s market place.

In the Valley there is a large population of young, enthusiastic and driven individuals who are looking to take their business to the next level. In turn, there are also very few opportunities that help people socially and professionally in the area. That is why the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce formed Young Emerging Professionals (YEP) for individuals in their 20’s and 30’s in the region.

YEP’s mission is to help young people become more engaged in the community as well as more successful and professional in all their future business opportunities. The goal of the group is help young individuals grow their businesses by building strong social circles that can engage their business.
